Music producer and DJ Avicii has been found dead in Oman at the age of 28.
The Swedish artist, real name Tim Bergling, managed two UK number one singles and had collaborated with huge artists like Madonna and Coldplay. His publicist Diana Baron’s statement reads: "The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time."
Devastating news about Avicii, a beautiful soul, passionate and extremely talented with so much more to do. My heart goes out to his family. God bless you Tim x— Calvin Harris (@CalvinHarris) April 20, 2018
There’s no word yet as to how he passed, but it’s understood he suffered from pancreatitis in 2015 from his hard drinking party lifestyle and it caused him to take a step back from music. The DJ had his gallbladder and appendix removed in 2014 and cancelled a series of shows in attempt to recover, eventually quitting touring in 2016 but he continued making music in the studio.
