It's set to be a big night on Love Island, with relationships falling apart and a shock elimination of two islanders. Megan and Eyal are on the rocks, and with a relationship based on lust and pretty much no shared interests who among us is really surprised? In a shocking display of self-awareness, Megan realised that they literally never laughed together or had anything resembling fun and had some serious second thoughts about their coupling. Eyal seemed to be on the same page, pointing out that most of the other couples in the villa seemed to actually get on and have conversations about fun topics rather than... just lying on the outside bed in silence and making out in bed at night. Despite them broadly agreeing on the fact their relationship isn't going to last on the outside, in yesterday's preview Eyal and Megan get into a blazing row when Megan says "We're not compatible in that way." A furious Eyal replies: "I'm honestly not going to stand for that because I think that's f****** out of order."
The same night, Megan goes over to talk to Wes and admits: "I just feel like I keep gravitating to you because I feel like I can just have fun with you" in a pretty clear display of intent. Last night, the couples played a sex-based game (what isn't on this show..?) where they had to guess how many partners the other had had. Another one of the questions was about who their partner would choose to couple up with if they weren't there, and several of the boys chose Megan... Wes included. Clearly, Megan watched Wes say he fancied her and zeroed in on him to couple up with to maintain her place in the villa while also wiggling out of her coupling with Eyal. In a game tonight, she goes out of her way to choose Wes in a game that involves her snogging his face off in front of his day one partner Laura. Awks.
Laura is smiling through the game, but it's obvious she is not happy and we predict there'll be explosions tonight. Speaking of explosions, the proverbial shit hit the fan last night when Alex and Ellie finally had their confrontation. Alex felt like Ellie had played with his emotions on purpose to stay in the villa, and treated his interest as a game but Ellie maintained that she hadn't realised she didn't like him until they got into bed together the night of the recoupling. Yes, that's right, she totally changed her mind on him in the space of roughly three hours. Casa Amor is in serious flux with three of the couples up in the air and a shock eviction soon, Caroline Flack is on her way to Casa Amor as we speak and we'll be voting soon on which couple should be the first to leave. Eek.
