Jessica Langford, from Ohio, has been accused of sexual battery and unlawful conduct with a minor and is currently on trial after it emerged she had sex with a 14-year-old boy in a classroom at the school where she worked.
Ohio teacher and married mother-of-one Jessica Langford, 32, pleaded not guilty to 3 counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and 3 counts of sexual battery. Now, as part of the trial, information has been revealed showing that Jessica had a history of inappropriate behaviour with her students, much of which left them feeling uncomfortable and uneasy.
Students spoke of how Langford had created an unusual atmosphere in her classroom, with many of them feeling “uneasy”, “awkward” and “uncomfortable” after she decided to show them a picture of her giving her husband oral sex.
Apparently the reason behind this incident was that she wanted to create a casual atmosphere in the classroom that meant the students were more comfortable around her, although it sounds as though it had the exact opposite effect.
Jessica Langford has also been accused of showering the students with gifts, including gift cards, iPhones, and expensive shoes. She was also caught sitting on male students’ laps, and frequently having one-on-one lunches with the students behind closed doors. In fact, it was revealed as part of a Freedom of Information request that Jessica Langford was warned by her bosses to be less physical with her students a full fifteen months before she was caught having sex with one.

Many people have expressed shock that, despite all these warning signs, Jessica was never formally disciplined by her bosses but merely told to “refrain from physical contact with students.”
“That should have been enough to send up if not a red flag at least a yellow flag that somebody should have done something,” said a professor of law asked to give his opinion on the case.
Now Jessica is facing jail time as she awaits sentencing on the 14th of May this year. She is facing six charges of sexual battery and unlawful conduct with a minor and was found guilty of all six charges. She could be seen weeping in court on Friday as the jury’s finding was read aloud. Now, while her husband is still standing by her, we can’t imagine that the future is looking anything but bleak for the former teacher.
