A 3-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital by his horrified mother in the UK after she discovered him with his arm severed at the shoulder. Both the young boy and the arm were rushed to King’s College Hospital in London after doctors were put on stand by for an emergency surgery. Police have also been sent to the holiday park where it happened to investigate how and why. As it stands, it appears that the accident occurred as a result of the toddler trying to climb into a clothes dryer and becoming stuck. When his mother found him he was bleeding profusely and his arm had been severed at the shoulder.

Unfortunately, no news has been released regarding the boy’s current condition, although at the time police made the following statement:
“We were called to Eastchurch Holiday Camp in Sheerness at 1.13pm on Monday April 9 after a young child suffered a serious arm injury.
“The South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended. The child, a three-year-old boy, was taken to a hospital in London where he remains in a serious but stable condition.”
However, as of yet, we don’t know whether the young boy’s arm has been successfully reattached. One emergency service worker, who wished to remain unnamed, spoke to the Metro and told them:
“Because of the boy’s young age he would stand a good chance of saving the arm if it was possible to stitch together all the nerves, tendons and blood vessels.
“It would all depend on how cleanly the severance happened.”

The incident occurred at the holiday park in Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. As a result of the distances involved the young boy was flown to the King’s College Hospital via air ambulance. The management at the park involved have not yet spoken to the press and have not released a statement saying what happened. But it is expected that the Health and Safety Executive will be called in for a large-scale investigation into exactly what happened.
Until then all that is known is that boy is in a stable condition, and it is not clear who is responsible or how it exactly came to be that his arm was severed as a result of playing in a clothes dryer.
