A video has gone viral featuring a holiday-goer taking her grooming to the pool side. The woman can be seen shaving her legs in the communal hotel pool, running the razor up and down her legs and even rinsing it off in the water between strokes. It's not known who she is, or where she's on holiday, which is a real shame for all of us because I'm uncomfortable with the thought of package holidays now. In the clip, the other people in the pool are just happily swimming around her and don't look put off by the grotesque display, either. In her all-in-one she can be seen bending down, leaning to carefully navigate the generous planes of her body, and she even gets the back tool. No stone left unturned.
The clip surfaced on Reddit, where an American woman can be heard giving commentary where she's apparently the only person bothered by what's going down in the pool around her. The user 'Screwsausage' has racked up more than 50,000 upvotes for the video, which means good karma for her on the image and video sharing site, but was it really worth living the experience? Commenters were quick to weigh in with their disgust, with one user writing: "That is so disgusting. Imagine the inadvertent gulp of water that sometimes happens when you’re swimming.. with all the shaved hair in it.” A mental image I didn't need. Another added: "Even worse, she nicks herself with the razor and now there's blood in the pool and she's bound to get an infection.”
It turns out this isn't as rare as I want to believe, though, because a user called MissMya_ wrote about her similar experience at 24 Hour Fitness in La:
"A guy did that while I was swimming in the pool at 24 hour fitness. I cancelled my membership and never came back. A rep called me a week later to ask why I cancelled and if there was anything she could do. I said a man was shaving his face in the pool while I was swimming in it. The line went totally silent for a few seconds then all she said was "Oh." I was like, "Yeah." She was so baffled and dumbfounded she didn't even try to retain me as a customer. She apologized, said she'd note it in the system and told me to take care. She sounded embarrassed for even calling me."
