Love Island fans were in for some shocks last night, after waiting to see the huge confrontation between couple Rosie and Adam that was hinted at in Monday's episode. The pair had been coupled up for four days, after Adam chose the new girl over Kendall, his first pick when he arrived at the villa. Kendall ended up going home, and could be seen on Sunday's episode of After Sun hitting things off with last year's winner Kem Cetinay and apparently swapping numbers with him, so she probably doesn't feel too bad about it. Rosie was feeling a little insecure in yesterday's episode after suspecting Adam of talking to the other housemates about her, but she was trying to play it cool so she didn't seem like she didn't trust him without reason when... good ol' Adam gave her a great reason not to trust him. It turned out he had been talking to the boys about new girl Megan, who he went over to have a chat with privately because it was bothering him that she didn't choose him for one of her three dates when she entered the villa. It turns out, shock horror, she just didn't fancy him and thought he was a slime ball so she went pretty much immediately to tell Rosie what he had done - cue a huge public confrontation.
Rosie waited an hour, got fully ready for their party with hair and make up meticulously done, and stomped over to him to give him a piece of her mind. Unsurprisingly for most of us watching at home, it appeared that by the end of the episode she had probably forgiven him because she 'fully believes in second chances'and went to sleep curled up next to him like nothing had happened. Will she choose to couple up with him tonight? Who knows. I know. She clearly is. Aside from their dramatic showdown, the villa saw some stirrings of new couples gathering after the sudden exit of fan-favourite Niall Aslam. It had been announced a few hours before the episode aired that he had left 'for personal reasons', and he didn't feature once in the episode after Doctor Alex told the villa within the first five minutes that he had left and wasn't coming back.
The official statement from ITV came through the mouth of Alex, with no posts to any social media accounts addressing his departure: "For personal reasons unfortunately he can’t continue or come back to the villa." Fans were immediately suspicious of the wording, he can't continue OR come back to the villa? Why would they specify? Well sources close to ITV have spoken off the record to say that Niall actually left the show because of a family tragedy, and not down to anything about his behaviour in the villa. Niall hasn't tweeted on his personal account since leaving the show and his friends claim he hasn't been in contact, he's also not scheduled to appear on After Sun or any other TV shows to talk about his time on the Island. Whatever the true story is, we just hope Niall is okay.
