After fans have been complaining that this year's season of Love Island is boring, producers are pulling out all the stops to generate headlines with this week's shock double elimination. Ellie and Charlie lost the public vote last night, coming bottom of the least liked three couples of the villa and being sent home straight away. We're sure Ellie will recover pretty quickly though, because his mansion in Monaco is waiting. The other two couple in danger, Wes and Megan and Georgia and Sam, aren't in the clear yet though as Caroline Flack revealed a bombshell twist last night on After Sun. The other islanders are forced to choose between the two pairs, sending one home based on who they would rather live with and the longevity of the relationship.
In a first look clip last night, Caroline showed a video of Georgia getting angry and punching pillows after realising she might still be sent home. It's been a bad week for Georgia, after the public's tweets and polls were read aloud in the villa and she realised people thought she was a flirt and 'most likely to cheat' despite her constant claims of loyalty. Her and Sam were also voted one of the most one-sided couples in the villa, as he's been devoted to her since they first paired up while she went on dates with other boys and even tried to kiss Laura's partner, Jack, on their date. The news that she might be going home with public opinion being what it is seemed to send her over the edge, and she can be seen crying angrily and being comforted by Sam. Jack Fincham is also seen arguing with the other islanders over why the pair should stay, explaining that they need more time together despite Josh, Georgia's ex, expressing his doubts over her feelings.
Whoever leaves, the villa seems set to be turned on its head again today when four new islanders enter with eyes set on breaking up some of our favourite couples. Hunky model Paul Knops has already set his sights on Kaz and new girl Alexandra, who has only just started spending time with Dr. Alex. He said: "Am I looking for love? At the age of 31, yes I am. It is a different experience, finding love in the Love Island villa. Physically the person I’m most attracted to in the villa is Kaz. She is beautiful. And Alexandra, I really like her aura, she seems to be a very relaxed girl and I think she can have a deep conversation, I feel she has a bit about her. I’d like to get to know her." The other new boy, Josh, has also expressed an interest in the new girl make up artist... Yikes, could this be the end already for Alex squared?
