After a nightmare year, Ant McPartlin has apparently moved on and started a new relationship with ex-PA Anne-Marie Corbett. After a very public struggle with a prescription painkiller addiction, troubles with alcohol and an acrimonious split from his wife, you'd think everyone would be happy for him in his newfound happiness. Not so. His estranged wife, Lisa Armstrong, has apparently confided in friends that 'the gloves are off' and she 'will take him for every penny'. The news broke yesterday after paparazzi caught the new couple shopping with Corbett's two children from a previous relationship, and heartbroken Lisa is said to have had no idea they were together until she was the photos. She apparently enjoyed a friendship with the former PA, inviting her into her house on many occasions and even posing for photos with her.
Lisa's friends also confirm that she had suspicions about the woman before the news broke, and had long thought there was something going on between the pair: ‘Lisa has suspected something was going on for quite some time and feels let down by Anne-Marie.’ Lisa and Ant were together for 18 years and married for 11 before announcing their split in January, and Lisa is set to gain roughly £30m in the separation, half of Ant's fortune. Anne-Marie is said to have 'put Ant back together' after his troubled start to the year and was there for him when nobody else was, which at least in part contributed to the couple finding love with each other. At the same time, Lisa was papped jetting around on holiday with friends and questions were raised about why she wasn't bothering with her long-time love.
Yeah My Friend and OUR Pa who I let into OUR home. 💔 https://t.co/1eMqN4mjyu— Lisa Armstrong (@lisaAmakeup) June 17, 2018
A source told The Sun: "Anne-Marie’s put him back together again. Everyone’s thrilled he’s found someone to love. He’s had a tough time of it, but Anne-Marie has put a smile back on his face again. She has been his rock. They have been living in each other’s pockets, day in, day out. Knowing someone is there for him has brought him back from the brink — she’s put him back together again." Glamour model Nicola McLean reached out to friend Lisa in a tweet, writing "I really feel for you" and Lisa responded "Thanks babe and to think she was MY friend." She later followed her comment up, writing "So much for the girl code. Yeah My Friend and OUR Pa who I let into OUR home." It looks like there's no love lost between the pair, but Ant is keeping his head down and staying offline for the time being.
