Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, the internet's favourite couple, have welcomed their second child into the world after extended struggles with IVF, and Chrissy is celebrating the only way she knows how by keeping it painfully real on Twitter. Their first daughter, Luna, was born two years ago and the couple have shared their life online in a series of Instagram and Twitter posts of their little tyke playing with her toys and looking underwhelmed by her dad's performances. We've been looking forward to more of the same from their first son, and so far Chrissy is giving us exactly what we want. She was basically tweeting from her hospital bed to let us all know that he'd made his first appearance, and kept us updated about his baby noises (nuzzles and peeps) and his eventual name - Miles Theodore Stephens.
We also found out that baby Luna wasn't the easiest birth when Chrissy tweeted "I can confirm postpartum life is 90% better when you don't rip to your butthole. Baby boy: 1 point. Luna: 0." If that doesn't make you think twice about popping out your own little ones then you're a stronger woman than me, particularly seeing all the women reply to her tweet offering their support and sympathy, echoing her poor butthole's pain. She was immediately hailed as the 'honest celebrity mom' that the world has been waiting for, when all you see are people slipping back into their old size 2 jeans after two weeks without a care in the world. Just 12 hours later she posted another photo on Instagram of her wearing her huge post-baby standard hospital underwear and everyone was living for it.
She also somehow managed to find time to troll her husband on Twitter, posting a photo of her with Miles watching him perform at the Billboard Music Awards and writing "wow didn’t u just have a baby John smh go take care of it !!!!!! disgusting." John wasn't out for long though, apparently making it back for 9pm for Chrissy's famous 'short rib night', because who would want to miss out on that? As their family grows, we could be looking forward to a few more little Legend's in the world as John spoke to Cosmopolitan in August to say: "Having a baby is a big challenge for a couple, and going through that together strengthens your bond because if you make it through [having a child], you know you can make it through anything. I think it’s especially difficult when you can’t conceive naturally. We’re lucky that we’re living in an age where we can conceive in other ways. [IVF] brought us Luna and hopefully it will bring us a few more awesome kids, too." Fingers crossed!
